As any public speaker, musician, or entertainer knows, the physical room
where the meeting takes place can be the best ally or the greatest enemy
of the act of communication. Meeting rooms, for the most part, have not
been designed with the greatest acoustics in mind, but often have been
remodeled or reconditioned for large gatherings after the fact. Retrofitting
an existing facility for gatherings can pose technical /acoustical challenges
that PS&L engineers can overcome.
Acoustical performance is a function of room geometry and materials, spatial
disposition of communication elements, and yes, the quality of the multimedia
